What & Where I Ate : Singapore

Whenever in Singapore ( to be honest I don’t quite like Singapore…its too nice…everything is in place ) I will always have lunch somewhere in the vicinity of Masjid Sultan. It is just a 5-minute walk from Bugis MRT Station. There are many good halal restaurants in the mosque’s vicinity. My favourite is Islamic Restaurant….especially the lamb biryani dish. The lamb gravy is very flavourful…’thickly authentic'(whatever this means). The texture of the rice is excellent and speaks of the quality of rice used. The meat was just awesome, a very tasty, tender, generous portion.
Islamic Restaurant is a heritage restaurant famous for its dum biryani. It is a heritage eatery that has charmed generations of diners with Halal Asian offerings ranging from local favourites to Northern Indian classics.

NIK ENJOYING THE BIRYANI DISH WITH LIME JUICE

Trust me…the lamb biryani is very good. You have to go all the way to India (we had several damn good ones in New Delhi and Agra) to savour a similar tasteful biryani. My only thrill when in Singapore is to have this lamb biryani…it makes my day.
OUR VERDICT (6 STAR MAXIMUM)
