I travel to London quite frequently. Most of the time it’s a trip to somewhere in Europe first…then I will make my way to London, normally by rail. Our older twin son is studying Computer Engineering in Birmingham University…all the more reason to visit UK. London is one city I don’t mind visiting again and again…maybe because of its cosmopolitan nature, nice weather, good food…and EPL (English Premier League).
I will normally stay in a hotel somewhere near St Pancras International Station…since the train from Europe terminate here and the Piccadilly Underground Line has a direct connection to London Heathrow.
When in London a must-eat is Fish and Chips. My favourite is the one at the Rocket, somewhere near St Pancras Station.
Another favourite is the Malaysia Hall Canteen in Bayswater.
The Malaysia Hall Canteen is at the basement level of Malaysia Hall, London.
SHAM: Whether one is a non-Malaysian eager to try Malay food, or a food-sick Malaysian, the Malaysia Hall Canteen is THE place to head for when you are in London.
OUR VERDICT (6 STAR MAXIMUM)
FOOD : OVERALL 3 STAR
AMBIENCE : 3 STAR
COMMENTS : PARKING IS VERY LIMITED.
PRICE : REASONABLE IN LONDON
Also another favourite eatery outlet is a Lebanese Restaurant in Marble Arch….The AL BALAD.
Have you tried authentic Punjabi food? The one that we tried is out-of-this-world.
This eatery has several outlets in London.
For a cup of coffee my favourite is the CAFFE NERO outlets.
