What & Where I Ate : Shangqui, China

SHANGQIU, CHINA 27 JUNE 2012
I have visited quite a number of cities in China (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Harbin, Beijing, Xian, Kunming, Tiangjin and Shangqiu). Every time we are in China, we will try some street foods. Here in Shangqiu is the tastiest of them all. We stayed at GDH Hotel in Shangqiu.

This eatery is somewhere near the GDH hotel. The street vendors can be found nearly everywhere in China, with all sorts of snacks, treats and meals for anyone adventurous enough to try.

We were told that the lambs are all very young….that is why the meat is so tender, succulent and juicy. All parts of the lamb are available for the grill.

Street food in China is so authentic that it makes Chinese food elsewhere taste like poorly made copies.

OUR VERDICT (6 STAR MAXIMUM)
FOOD : 6 STAR (best in the world for grilled lamb)
AMBIENCE : 2 STAR
PRICE : VERY CHEAP BY INTERNATIONAL STANDARD
