This eatery outlet GO BANG MAJU PATIN TEMPOYAK in Temerloh specialises in Patin Tempoyak, Tilapia Tempoyak Grill and Fried Koew Teow. It is an open air restaurant and very popular with locals. It is famous for its Patin fish cooked in Tempoyak (Fermented Durian sauce) and Tilapia also grilled in Tempoyak sauce. Here you pick what you want, sit at a table and a waiter comes round to write down what you have and gives you the bill.
If you come to Temerloh – the home of the Patin – then this Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak dish can be found in most of the restaurants and food-courts in the town. It is in fact a traditional dish popular in the inland riverine areas as the Patin fish is found in abundance in the rivers of Pahang, especially in the Sungai Pahang. It is definitely more tasteful than most copycat patin tempoyak served elsewhere.
SHAM: The tempoyak soup here is thicker than the one we had in Kuala Berang. It is also more spicy. Just like the Ikan Kelah Tempoyak, the fermented durian gives the soup a sourish flavour.

COMMENTS : EXPECT LONG QUEUES DURING LUNCH TIME/DINNER. PARKING IS ALSO LIMITED.
PRICE : ASAM TEMPOYAK IKAN PATIN DISH ALONE IS RM11 PER BOWL …REASONABLE
